Things to do outside of downtown Toronto
There are lots of fun things to do in downtown Toronto, but there are also some major attractions in the suburbs and nearby:
- Niagara Falls - One of the most iconic landmarks in the world. The falls are located about 75 miles south-east of Toronto. Day tours can be booked here or here
Toronto Zoo - Canada's largest zoo! The zoo has a conservation focus and works to conserve many endangered species. Pia's favourites are the White African Lions
- Ontario Science Centre - Science museum located outside downtown Toronto. The IMAX theatre usually shows some cool science documentaries and it is a great place to bring kids
Legoland - The name pretty much says it all - Lego + land. Located about 30 minutes outside of Toronto. Caveat: all adults (including immature adults) must be accompanied by a minor (17 years old or younger)
